What We Do

The official home page for the American Professional Rodeo Association (APRA). Sanctioning rodeos with bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and breakaway roping.

Watch cowboys and cowgirls compete in rodeos that are sanctioned with the American Professional Rodeo Association and co-sanctioned with the International Professional Rodeo Association, (IPRA) and the Southern Rodeo Association (SRA), throughout the north east. We are based in Howard, PA.

Rodeos are sanctioned in:

• Pennsylvania
• New York
• Ohio
• Maryland
• Delaware
• Virginia
• and surrounding areas!

Bids for AFR 35 

The APRA  Board is now accepting bids for the following Contract Personnel for AFR 35:

— Specialty Act and/or Barrelman - this position requires 1 act and fillers

— Announcer - this position requires music and/or sound system

Both positions require current membership in good standing and a minimum of three (3) FULL APRA rodeos worked during the 2012 season.
